IF WEATHER IMPROVES Let me know you are coming please. See you there! Thanks, Nancy [email protected] BRING Bring your own art supplies, easel, chair if needed, drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, take a snack or lunch. Bring clips if windy to hold your substrate, a bag or pizza box to drop your painting in quickly and a large plastic bag to quickly cover your easel for pastels or an umbrella for wet paint and a raincoat when stray showers may occur. Pack out any trash or solvent used. Bring an artist friend! Try it year-round! WEAR Knowing how to dress can make your experience wonderful. 'Tis the season to wear layers. There may be a little breeze coming off a lake but finding a sun beam will make it pleasant. Wear good hiking shoes, large brim hat, and layer clothing so as the temperature rises you can peel a layer or as it drops you can add a layer back on. Have a scarf or knit ear band or hat, fingerless gloves for cooler weather. Eat something (fuel = warmth) and drink something warm on cooler days. Consider sun block or bug spray as needed. Better to have what you don't need than not have what you do. |
